Reflux Relief

What are the steps to all natural heartburn and acid reflux relief?

First things first we need to identify that what we are suffering from is indeed reflux and not something more serious like esophageal spasms or severe acid reflux. Severe acid reflux should always be treated by a doctor. The good news is that you probably only have mild to moderate reflux and that can be treated from home with herbs. Here are the most common symptoms of reflux:

The feeling of discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen region of the chest
A feeling over over fullness in your chest
Nausea after eating
Slight regurgitation (burping up acidic parts of your food).
Those are the short version of the symptoms, keep in mind you may also experience a acidic, bitter and nasty taste in your mouth when you burp during a session of painful reflux.

Now that we have identified the symptoms we can move into the meat of this article which is (all natural) treatment from home.

You can always try the most common route which is antacids like tums, however these have been proven to be fairly harmful to the body in long term use.

Start by adding lots of water to your daily routine, water has been known to help combat reflux significanly, also try and drink a few glasses of vegetable juice per day as well as aloe vera juice.
The most effective way to fight reflux is through, you guessed it, prevention. Stop acid reflux before it starts by avoiding drinking beverages such as cool aid, red bulls, coffee, orange juice and even milk! People are always surprised when they hear milk is on the list of top acidic drinks, but make no mistake milk is very acidic and will only make your condition worse. Also eating lots of meat has been known to trigger reflux in the body so try and limit your meat intake (as much as possible). Keep lots of raw fruits and vegetables on hand and dive into one of them whenever you are in the need of a snack, they are very helpful in fighting off heartburn and acid reflux. Lastly, some people believe that stress triggers acid reflux, so if at all possible limit your daily amount of stress (I know that’s easier said than done but I figured I had to at least tell me readers the importance of stress elimination in reflux removal).

So in closing, you now know that you should avoid eating things that are high in acidic content, avoid stress and even milk as prevention is the best way to combat acid reflux, and once a bout starts try things such as high water intake, raw fruits and vegetables and also try and limit your usage of antacids like tums as they are harmful to the body in long term use.
Thanks for taking the time to read my article and I wish you a acid reflux free new year. Good Luck!
